If I find myself in a wave of overdoing, the moment I commune with her I slow down and put down my basket of overdoing and rest.

SUMMER COMPANION

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, summer is the season of yang and is associated with the fire element, the Heart, and the small intestine. During the summer months, energy is peaking. A time of rapid growth, golden light, and prosperity. Summer is the season where we experience bliss and for most of us, it is a more relaxed and fun time of year.

Summer heat waves can be extreme for menopausal women experiencing hot flashes. Excess heat creates an imbalanced Heart which then impacts our energy levels and emotions. During the summer moons, we should create space for softness.
