Blessed New Moon in Cancer!
Let’s take a moment to visualize ourselves as an embodiment of a crab(I find this to be the most aligned way to harmonize our rhythms to zodiac archetypes/energies. There is no wrong or right perception.
For my heart, as I embody a crab…I feel held by the shell that cloaks my softness and vulnerability. Which was designed by our Earth Mother ~
We are held in the loving embrace of our Earth Mother as surrender to the ebb & flow of our heart’s path. - Esmeralda.
A crab navigates both land and sea. They are creatures of water but often find themselves on the shore. Yesterday, my beloved and I were guided to an incredible beach that is held by San Francisco. On the way there we both were experiencing an array of emotions. As we felt the uncomfortable emotions going through a beautiful tunnel...I began to feel deep gratitude that he feels safe in my presence to share the emotional waters that were rising within his heart. Emotions that could have affected me negatively if I allowed my emotional waters to be carried by his. Instead, I remained centered…I listened deeply and then shared my truths. I adore how we always return to love, compassion, and understanding. Through this divine communication, we find ourselves back on the shore in each other’s loving embrace. I share this because this then rippled to allowing my heart to express itself through writing.
As I lay here listening to the song of our Mama Yemanja…the rhythm of the ocean, as she kisses the shoreline, feels like the rhythm of our emotions. Throughout our days different emotions emerge to the shore…at times gentle and others…overwhelmingly strong.

Throughout the previous moon cycles, I have come to a place of deep admiration for our hearts and how deeply we feel. There was a time that I accepted the false truth “ You are too sensitive.” Our sensitivity is our innate magic. Now let us return to our dear companion Cancer ~ Crab…it is through their sensitivity that they navigate their walk upon this earth. Our sensitivity is our senses heightened, we are able to sense all that surrounds us..all of our relations…their emotions, etc. How we navigate our sensitivity is either our power or weakness. We sensitive folk must cultivate the ability to feel deeply while simultaneously not allowing ourselves to be carried away in a whirlpool of emotions.
Allow yourself to softly land in this moment.
Wherever you are...just pause.
Take a deep inhale through your nose,
exhale through your mouth.
Place your hands on your heart.
Continue breathing.
Soften your shoulders...
Soften your jaw...
Sway yourself softly with each breath
to the center of your heart.

July 17th, 2023, Grandmother Moon embraces Cancer just as the lunar nodes transition into Aries and Libra. How auspicious! This opens a portal to an 18-moon cycle of beginnings and karmic endings.
Now when this occurs we must become aware of the golden threads of guidance/clues that are being woven before us. This will then ripple to rapid growth and divine opportunities! So from today forward, perceive your days through the lens of your heart. Witness what is unfurling before you as it may be your guiding compass forward.
LA LUNA ~ THE MOON
Our Grandmother Moon is in deep relation with Cancer. I witness them as a Grandmother and granddaughter or two best friends. You know that friend or loved one who feels like you’re landing home in their presence? That is what Cancer and the Moon are to one another.
The moon also embodies are emotions ~ inner waters ~ our safety ~ and sensitivity. Now as the Moon spirals with Cancer this illuminates our emotional body. Maybe this week you have been feeling extra sensitive and overwhelmed or highly sensitive in a harmonious way.
Now I encourage you to witness what emotions are emerging to the shoreline of your heart. Are they in correspondence with the land that holds you, are you feeling the need to find a new home? are your relationship creating a whirlpool of emotions?
Our relation to our mothers will be illuminated under this New Moon as well. Hidden childhood memories may rise to the surface…Remember to return to the softness of your breath as you navigate these waters.
The blessing is that Cancer blesses us with the loving embrace of a Mother. A Mother loves unconditionally. She knows what to say when you are feeling low ~ when you are seeking guidance. So kneel before your altar..light a candle and pray.
NEW MOON : NEW INTENTIONS
Every New Moon we are gifted the opportunity to realign with our heart’s intentions. Every new moon offers us different blessings and opportunities. On this New Moon, I encourage you to pause before writing your intentions and ground into the space within us of deep inner knowing and trust.
For some of us, this may come easy for others it may take a few days to fully land in this space. Be kind, be gentle. This process requires surrender and faith.

Creating sacred space for ceremony is the foundation that will hold you. Would you like to be held in water~bath tub? or would you like to sit infront of your altar or under the stars ? This is up to you.
Once you have created a sacred space, make sure to energetically clear the space. Allow your heart to guide you.

Begin by landing softly in our heart with each breath.
Now visualize yourself sitting at the shoreline of your heart.
How is your heart? What emotions are rising to the surface?
Once you begin to feel and witness them…embrace them. Witness their colors..how they make you feel.
Does someone come to mind? a memory ? a trigger? or awareness to an emotion you weren’t allowing yourself to feel deeply?
Now when you begin to allow yourself to feel into these spaces. How can you invite clarity ~ softness ~ compassion and understanding?
Also are there any hidden messages? insights?
Is it time to transition into a new shell? a new home? new community?
How can you feel safe and held in the home and relations you already have?
When you feel complete, close your ceremony wether that was a guided journey, journaling..etc.
